Throwing a Great Party for Less
December 3, 2007
Parties are fun but they can run you some money. Here are some tips on how to make your parties enjoyable but cheap and on the budget in terms of food, drinks, dishware and entertainment. Thus, you still have room for savings at the same time satisfy your friends.
For food, just serve pasta. I’m pretty sure your visitors love spaghetti, paella and pasta because aside from making them feel at home, pasta is delicious. Not only that, it’s nutritious too since it’s got lots of carbohydrates loaded into it. Hence, you don’t need to serve any more other viands, making your budget economize.
For drinks, modify. Try not serving any alcohol at all. Remember that alcohol is not cheap. It will jack up your budget. Serve fruit juice or iced tea instead. Add extra mint sprigs in your fruit cocktail and you’ve got something special. Or you can try shopping around. There are lots of discount stores out there which offer amazingly low prices on drinks. Next, browse the World Wide Web for innovations on cocktail recipes. Or else you may want to announce to your guests beforehand that you’ll be having a tea party. This way, your guests would sense that you’ll not be serving a lauriat. Try serving cookies too. They are cheap and easy to make.
Now, let’s go to dishware stuff. Serve your guests in disposable platters using disposable utensils. In this way, you will never worry of any probability that your expensive china will break into pieces.
For entertainment, you need not worry about hiring performers. People go to a party to enjoy the company of themselves. After everyone has eaten, I’m pretty sure one or two among the crowd will lead the group in singing, dancing and playing pastime games.
With those tips above, you’ll be having the greatest party in the world for less – a party that is cheap where you can economize, big on savings and enough for your budget.
And one more last reminder – never serve drugs. Have a good time folks!
